Spring weddings
The Blossom from our trees have fallen but the gorgeous Spring weather continues for our weddings at The Longlands Hotel. As we prepare for our next wedding this Saturday for Jake & Danny's big day I just wanted to reflect on our May 2018 weddings so far...FRIDAY 4TH MAY 2018
We were lucky enough to witness the marriage of Wendy and Emma on Friday 4th May, with the weather being absolutely gorgeous the guests enjoyed a full afternoon in our garden drinking Prosecco and G&TS until their evening reception started at 7pm. Having a teary start with the beautiful speeches and a toast to the newlyweds the party well and truly started. With one bride not leaving the dance floor for the whole night and the Hog Roast buffet going down a treat with the guests it was a fantastic night had by all.What was even better is that they sent a review on Trip Advisor on their special day:
Myself and my wife had our wedding here on the 4th May 2018 and we couldn't have asked for a more perfect venue and setting.
From the very beginning before we had even booked and had just made initial inquiries, the staff were so helpful, informative and friendly. This was the first venue we visited and we knew straight away it was for us.
We had several meetings with our lovely wedding co-ordinator, who had plenty of ideas and was so enthusiastic about our wedding, we knew everything was in good hands.
The location is ideal, as the countryside setting is ideal for photographs, as well as allowing a quiet and peaceful setting for visitors and guests. There is a stunning canal walk, as well as the opportunity to just relax and take in the wonderful views. Several of our guests brought dogs to the wedding and they were treated as well as everyone else (they got plenty of fuss too).
We cannot thank Longlands and all the staff enough, for making our day the most special day with so many wonderful memories for ourselves and for our guests. The food is exceptional and every single one of our guests complimented us on how good the food was.
We will be visiting many times over in the future.

SATURDAY 12TH MAY 2018
Last weekend we had the lovely new Mr and Mrs Sunderland's' wedding celebrations at The Longlands who held their ceremony at The Priory in Lancaster. On arrival we greeted them with a 'Fizz Cocktail' for their guests which was the popular Spring Garden recipe of Fizz, Hendricks Gin, Elderflower cordial, garnished with cucumber.
The theme was champagne and the colour matched perfectly in our Lapwing Suite. They ordered the Ceiling drapes and Starlight Backdrop from Poppins Parties and Events along with their chair covers and Champagne Taffeta sashes and used our Candelabras as their centrepieces.

We look forward to seeing you both again soon and I hope you have a lovely honeymoon together.
Now back to our preparation for the Peacock-Matthews wedding this Saturday, its set to be another lovely sunny day and we already have the Prosecco chilling....
